Jayden’s quote exemplifies the way he has chosen to live. Known for his compassion, he consistently supported peers in need, often going out of his way to provide both emotional and practical assistance.
He faced incredible personal challenges as a young child but turned those experiences into the strength needed to go beyond survival to become a very accomplished young man. He refers to his perseverance as “grit” through personal courage. He credits his grandmother, who raised him, with modeling empathy and concern for others. His admiration for her is apparent as he talks about his heroes. Jayden adopted her caring spirit and has the insight to see himself in others as they, too, struggle.
Jayden will attend the University of Maine to pursue a degree in engineering.
