Despite hard days clouded with sorrow, I have been able to find the little girl who woke up every morning excited to go to school.
Emily’s dad lost his battle with cancer just before she started high school. Despite her grief, she took rigorous classes, raised over $10,000 to provide resources for those facing pancreatic cancer, founded a sustainability club, mentored other students, and took on a job at Dairy Joy. Emily found healing in serving others.
Emily plans to attend Marist College.
