“Character is important because it shows who you are as a person.
Character for me is being kind and open-minded”
These words by Camden only touch the surface of the incredible character she consistently demonstrates. Logging over 2,000 service hours in various organizations, Camden understands the impact of showing concern for others. She is a leader in the Keystone Club, a part of the Boys and Girls Club, that promotes leadership skills to young people.
As a mentor in her high school’s unified program, she consistently creates an environment that allows for participants to voice concerns and she leads them to consensus building and positive solutions. Camden completely understands the importance of personal responsibility and ethical behavior and models it in her work with younger children. Camden will attend the University of Maine at Farmington, majoring in Early Childhood Education.
