I strive to align my actions with my convictions.
At a very young age Magnolia became concerned about the vast inequalities in our world. At age 11 she discovered Sustainable Harvest International, a non-profit that partners with farmers in Central America. She raised $4000 for the organization over a period of 3 years, becoming their youngest major donor.
Personally committed to sustainability, the environment, and climate action, Magnolia began making her own clothes when she was nine. As an intern for the Climate Action Network and chair of her school’s eco team, she proposed a solar project for her school which is in the final stages of approval.
Magnolia engages in civic activism and supports her community. Because she cares deeply, she can marshal others to join the cause. She is passionate about learning, saying “I want to learn as much as I can from everything I can. I want to ask so many questions my brain hurts.”
