Savana’s perseverance through an interrupted adolescence along with homelessness brought her the courage to see goodness and caring in a world that showed neither to her in her younger years. Her commitment to use her struggles to see possibilities instead of barriers is a constant in her life, building a loving family with her husband and children and helping those in despair to see hope for creating a better life.
Honoring her responsibilities for her family and herself, Savana returned to school to complete her high school studies, with top grades, and is currently moving forward to pursue education beyond high school.
Savana’s determination is grounded in the importance of living with integrity and building trust with others. Those who know her and watched her climb out of a life of desolation describe her as courageous, remarkable, and inspirational. With awe, they speak of her concern for others as humbly showing kindness and compassion, especially to those who may struggle socially, and add that she takes full responsibility for her life, never blaming those from her past. She is to be lauded for conquering fears and facing nearly unsurmountable challenges to become a role model for all.
