“Character is defined by everyday actions, most small and fleeting.”

Max enjoys helping others through his involvement in scouting and community service.

Max is a role model in his troop. He encourages younger scouts to challenge themselves. He guides others into being confident and caring members of the scouting community.

Completing an Eagle Scout Project is the culmination of a scouting career. It must serve the community and be completed independently. During COVID, community access to the public library was severely limited. Max designed and built a structure to serve as a book pickup station and a community bulletin board. When books are ordered, they are placed in boxes like a post office. The structure is lighted, weatherproof, and has a place to post town notices. Max raised all the funds for materials. One resident said it was “the most significant improvement for the town since 1978”.
